Unlike an ice-bath-and-bags setup, these systems filter, sanitize (ozone/UV on most models) and maintain temperature automatically, so a plunge is ready at 6 a.m. without hauling ice or draining the tub between users.

When sizing a system, match the chiller horsepower to tub volume and traffic: a home tub cycling one or two plunges a day needs far less cooling capacity than a studio running back-to-back contrast-therapy sessions.
